Whitfield Action Group opposes any large-scale housing development
within the Parish of Whitfield. While accepting that there will be
natural growth of Whitfield over time, the Group will campaign to
ensure that any Greenfield development has minimal impact on the
Village and its rural environment. Any such development should
only take place once all available Brownfield sites have been used
and should be preceded by adequate improvement to local
infrastructure and services. |

Whitfield Action Group will monitor
Forward Planning processes at District and County Councils and
publicise any recommendations and decisions that may affect Whitfield
through the local press, public meetings, leafleting and on the
Whitfield Action Group website.

The Whitfield Action Group will
actively engage residents in the campaign, promoting participation in
public consultation procedures and encouraging residents to express
their views to the relevant authorities. The Group will canvass public
opinion and present results of questionnaires and polls to the
relevant planning authorities. |
